Star Bots is a Lego Robotics Club for students in grades 5-8. We participate in challenges hosted by Adventist Robotics, in partnership with FIRST LEGO League, and recognize the importance of STEM educational programs in our school.

WAA has had a Lego Robotics team since the 2011-12 school year and entered our first Challenge in the spring of 2012. Our Star Bots have competed in annual reginal competitions hosted in Ohio, Michigan, and Tennessee. Four robotics seasons (2015, 2018, 2019 & 2022) have ended with an invitation to participate at the National Adventist Lego Robotics Challenge, hosted in California or Florida. These opportunities for travel and enrichment have instilled vital life-skills, built enduring friendships, and created lasting memories for both the students and their coaches.
The Star Bots competed in Dayton for the Ohio Adventist Robotics Challenge on March 12, 2023. Our team did great! They received the first place award for their innovation project. Congratulations to our Star Bots team and coaches!
